30 Day Bus Conversion
Want to get your conversion done in a hurry? Just get a bunch of antsy college kids and let ‘em have after it. That’s what Doug did!
30 Day Conversion
Four years ago we bought an Eagle at auction. Immediately we had all systems (engine, drivetrain, wheels, tires, brakes, hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and air) checked by a reputable firm. One month and one large check later our bus was returned to us ready for conversion.Well, life in our family changed. Then it changed again. And then, it changed once more. Last spring our son, home from graduate school and friends came up with the idea to remove the seats, add some creature comforts to the bus and then head out to travel for the summer.
In about 30 days a group of 9 college kids:
— removed and sold all seats
— installed four hidabeds
— four lazyboys type chairs
— refer
— sinks
— porta poty
— kitchenette
— small tables
— propane heater
— misc. lights
— 5,000kw Onan in bayWith our blessings our son with three friends traveled from southern CA to my brothers’ in CT. We flew there and have just returned from six weeks of traveling in our 30 DAY CONVERSION and we have laughed and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
Never in our wildest dreams would we have come up with this type of situation/conversion. We are now planning a trip to the midwest during the holidays. We are a true believer in “just use it” and the conversion will come as it does.

Re: 30 day conversionFabulous. Sometimes it takes the unique vision of financially strapped college people to show us the way.
We’ve owned our MC9 for 4 years. We’ve put 21000 miles on it. It still doesn’t have an interior (no toilet, shower, bed, kitchen, etc). We’ve been having a ball in it while converting.
Enjoy your conversion.
