Working on a bus is GOOD for you!

Soooo, we’ve had some freezing weather a week or so ago and I thought it would be a good time to catch up on posting the photos of my work in progress on my MC9 conversion, Evangelina.

Almost two weeks later and I still haven’t updated the progress on the bus conversion.

Long story short, I started a new website on real servers powered by WordPress, a real CMS/blogging platform.

It’s a LOT of work and getting everything moved and up and running and learning about the new platform took almost all of this time.

I’ve learned a lot about PHP, Apache, mySQL, CSS, and updated my rusty skills on XHTML. The last time I did any real work with HTML was back in the 3.x days and the world has advanced very far since then. Once you get booted into ‘management’ there’s never any time to do real work.

So after almost two weeks of geeking out, with a sunny day today I’m off to see my baby. I don’t think I’ve ever been away from her this long.

Now that the fundamentals have been put in place on this site, I hope to resume its development. I have lots of progress to show on my conversion, as well as tons of information about building your own custom motorcoach bus conversion.

I’m firmly of the opinion that doing the most labor-intensive wrenching and constructing with my own hands, getting dirty, twisting into impossible positions and getting grit into my bones is better for me than sitting at this computer for the last two weeks.

    Stay tuned!
