Metal Shiney tape in external lamp housings

    May 19th, 2005

    Tail-light fixture
Until I get LED fixtures to replace and modernize all these, cleaning and putting shiney metal tape behind the lamps makes a huge difference!

Not to mention cleaning out 20 years of road crud and re-gasketing.

Yep, it’s a PITA, but no excuse for not doing it. Tooo many times I’ve said I’ll deal with something like that later only to kick myself! You know what I mean, don’cha? :)

Oh - almost forgot to mention. The clear heat-shrink tubing goes on before you put it all together. And especially, especially, it goes on the wire before soldering and crimping on terminals!!! (on the other ends, where they connect to the outlets)

Don’t ask me how I know this. :)

Powah! 120-240 Volt Master Circuit Breaker Panel

    April 19th, 2005

Breaker BoxYes, this is larger than it needs to be - when complete it won’t have more than half the circuits in use but I got real tired of looking for just the right box.

Eventually, I’ll split it out with two breaker boxes - a master and a sub-panel for inverter-powered items only.
