Bah humbug, accomplishment and whiling away Christmas
Random goings on with travelers I keep up with…
Flying Cloud had a less-than-enjoyable time at Epcot
George replaces a circuit breaker in Santa Rosalia
Jim & Chris lead the life of leisure in Quartzsite
Epcot
Today we paid $60 each to get into Epcot, where we spent at least an hour looking for food, and ended up spending $20 on a burger and chicken tenders that gave us both stomach aches. We then spent 20 minutes in line for a boat ride and 20 minutes waiting to get off. During the wait we were tortured by the the peppy tour boat employee who told jokes very LOUDLY into the microphone. We then spent 80 minutes in line for basically a 5 minute imax movie where your feet dangle and they spray orange spray at you. Then we left. Bah humbug.

…Manuel (his nickname is Chito) came out of his yard and told me that he needed help with his electricity… I offered to get a new fuse block when the stores in El Centro opened and install it. I told Chito that the fuse block would be a gift from me to him, to say thank you for all of his help. Chito accepted.

For me to be able to help Chito, is a wonderful thing. A miracle! Helping Chito brings me into his family, and strengthens our friendship. I am soooo grateful for this opportunity.

Christmas in the Desert
Ahhhhh, we’re back at ‘The Cabin’ in Quartzsite with our adopted family [and] started Christmas morning with Mimosas and a fabulous brunch made with contributions from the whole ‘gang’.
